Today is the birthday of my beloved mentor. With tough love, brilliance, and style like no other, he believed in this "little snot noised kid". He taught me, loved me, and gave me a one in a million opportunity to learn my craft. Everything in his world was always done his way! One of the standing rules that no one dare break, was that ALL his establishments were required to play "New York, New York", and "My Way" for the last two songs of every night; else someone was going to get fired! He would sporadically call or have me call to check and make sure this was being done. He was one of a kind and paid attention to every detail. He is with me daily. Today I honor and remember him by playing nothing but Sinatra at the joints. Man how he loved Sinatra! Rest in peace Mr.G.
