*Registration for this program is required* Where: Coyote Ridge Natural Area, meet at the cabin, approximately 1 mile down the trail. It will take approximately 30 minutes to hike to the cabin, so PLEASE plan accordingly so that you are at the cabin at or before 7:30 p.m. program will begin promptly at 7:30 p.m. Program Description: topic TBD! Accessibility: Program takes place on dirt trails. Mostly easy, slightly uneven terrain with one steep hill each way. There is NO bathroom at the parking lot, only bathroom is one mile down the trail, but is accessible. Wheelchair users in need of transportation to the cabin can contact achlebnik@fcgov.com for arrangements. Distance is 2 miles round trip. What to Bring: Dress appropriately for the weather forecast. Bring multiple layers. Bring sunscreen, a hat / sunglasses, closed-toe, sturdy shoes, insect repellent, and plenty of water. Trails may be muddy so please wear proper footwear. Join Naturalist Kurt W. to explore this majestic raptor's history, behavior, habitat, diet, etc. Learn about migration patterns, and how to identify bald eagles from golden eagles, redtail hawks, and other birds of prey. Examine how human behavior impacts the ecosystem. Accessibility: We will be traveling roughly 1.5 miles across soft surface trail, easy. What to Bring: Dress appropriately for the weather forecast. Where: Bobcat Ridge Natural Area. Address: 10184 Co Rd 32C, Loveland, CO 80538. Approximately 35 minutes from Fort Collins. When: August 15th, 8-10 p.m. What to Bring: Dress for temperatures 20 degrees cooler than the actual temperature and bring a blanket or chair to sit on. Meet in the parking lot. Pets are not permitted at Fossil Creek Reservoir Natural Area. Please bring binoculars if you have them! It will make star viewing easier. Program Description: Volunteers from the Northern Colorado Astronomical Society provide telescopes and share their knowledge about the stars, planets, galaxies, and more. Teen Activity Center 212: Using your phone or other camera, learn to capture photos of wildlife and take a field trip to practice your skills. Location: TBD, likely Riverbend Ponds or another local riparian zone natural area.

Where: Poudre Trail. Park at the tennis courts at Lee Martinez Park and follow the paved trail west until you come to a small beach on the north side of the trail. Program Description: All ages welcome! Use dip nets and collecting trays to discover what lives beneath the surface of the Cache la Poudre River. Biologists will be on hand to help identify your finds. All dip netting equipment is provided. Spanish language programming offered from 11am - noon. Accessibility: Program takes place almost entirely on a paved bike trail easily accessible to any mobility devices. Up to 1 mile, round trip. Bathrooms available near the Lee Martinez Park playground.
