Plein, French for outdoors, is the act of painting in the landscape, a practice dating back centuries. It allows the painter to better capture the changing details of the gardens around them. We will have both local and Plein Air Artists Colorado painters spread throughout The Gardens.

Natural Areas Event: Campfire at Coyote Ridge- Canines of Colorado

*Registration for this program is required and will close at midnight on 8/8. .* Where: Coyote Ridge Natural Area, meet at the cabin, approximately 1 mile down the trail. When: Friday, Aug. 9, 6:30 - 8:00p.m. Program Description: Spend a cozy evening by the campfire, complete with stories and s’mores! These programs are suitable for all ages. Dress warmly and bring water to drink. Meet your naturalist guide at the cabin and enjoy a campfire and stories on the deck. Please allow 30-40 minutes to reach the cabin. The campfire begins at the time listed. Bring a flashlight for the walk back. 2 miles round-trip; easy hike with one large hill each way. Program Topic: Canines of Colorado - Learn about the canines that call Colorado home, including the most recent and largest - the gray wolf! Accessibility: Program takes place on dirt trails. Mostly easy, slightly uneven terrain with one steep hill each way. There is NO bathroom at the parking lot, only bathroom is one mile down the trail, but is accessible. Wheelchair users in need of transportation to the cabin can contact achlebnik@fcgov.com for arrangements. Distance is 2 miles round trip. What to Bring: Dress appropriately for the weather forecast. Bring multiple layers. Bring sunscreen, a hat / sunglasses, closed-toe, sturdy shoes, insect repellent, and plenty of water. Trails may be muddy so please wear proper footwear. The Gardens at Spring Creek Event: Tai Chi [CANCELED]

Tai Chi is a traditional Chinese system of body movement that has been cherished over the centuries for its beneficial impact on health of the heart, bones, nerves, muscles, immune system and the mind.  Often referred to as “meditation in motion,” Tai Chi is widely practiced around the world, preferably in a beautiful outdoor setting. 

The Gardens on Spring Creek is delighted to collaborate with John Broderick, student of Min Fan, to offer our members and community this special outdoor class, suitable for all levels.

Note for Participants: Classes are taught outside and shade is available but limited. Please check the weather and plan accordingly for your comfort and safety during the practice.

Classes will be capped at 25 participants.  Please check in through the main entrance. Class registration includes Gardens admission.  Click the date to register for that class.

Inicia la Semana de Conservación Latina con este programa en el río Poudre #LCW2024 Dónde: En el sendero Poudre Trail. Estaciónate en las canchas de tenis en el parque Lee Martinez y sigue el sendero pavimentado hacia el oeste hasta que llegues a una pequeña playa en el lado norte del sendero. Cuándo: Sábado 14 de septiembre de 9:30 am a 12 pm. Se recomienda inscripción, pero no es obligatoria. Solo los participantes inscritos serán notificados si el programa se cancela o pospone. Descripción del programa: Utiliza redes y bandejas de recolección para descubrir qué vive debajo de la superficie del río Cache la Poudre. Tendremos biólogos disponibles para ayudar a identificar tus hallazgos. Se proporcionará todo el equipo. Para personas de todas las edades. Personal bilingüe disponible. Registration highly suggested, but not required. Only registered participants will be notified if program is canceled or postponed. Program Description: Use dip nets and collecting trays to discover what lives beneath the surface of the Cache la Poudre River. Biologists will be on hand to help identify your finds. All dip netting equipment is provided. We will have bilingual staff. All ages welcome! Accessibility: Program takes place almost entirely on a paved bike trail easily accessible to any mobility devices. Up to 1 mile, round trip. Bathrooms available near the Lee Martinez Park playground. What to Bring: Dress appropriately for the weather forecast. Bring sunscreen; a hat; closed-toe, sturdy shoes; and water to drink. This program takes place in the river, so bug repellent or long sleeves are highly suggested. Bring water shoes and towels for river fun! City Council Attended Gatherings Event: Open Streets

City Councilmembers have been invited to attend Open Streets on Sunday, September 15, starting at 9:45am, being held on Shields Street from Mountain Avenue to Lake Street (Council Districts 5 and 6).

As there are three or more members of City Council that may attend, the event is posted as a public meeting.  While no formal action by the City Council will be taken during this meeting, the discussion of public business may occur, and the event will be open to the public.

The Gardens at Spring Creek Event: The Amory Presents: An Evening with Tank and The Bangas

Tank and The Bangas is a New Orleans-based band that blends various music styles such as funk, soul, hip hop, and spoken word to create a unique sound. The band is led by vocalist and songwriter Tarriona “Tank” Ball who commands every performance with her powerful voice and magnetic stage presence. Formed in 2011, they gained nationwide recognition after winning the NPR Tiny Desk Concert in 2017. The band consists of a varying number of musicians but is typically around five, including Tank herself. Their critically acclaimed live performances are energetic and highly emotive, making them a must-see act.

GENERAL INFORMATION

The Monday Mavens provide 9-hole tee

times starting at 3:00 pm every Monday

afternoon. The league will begin on May

6 and run through September 30. The

league format will be social with weekly

games that are focused on improving

your golf game. Come out and enjoy a

fun and non-competitive atmosphere

of good will and friendship with an

enthusiastic group of women.

 

Dues for the 2024 season are $20 cash,

that will be used for the prizes in the form

of pro shop credits at the end of the

season. Dues allow us to prioritze tee

times and your preferred play groups.

The $20 cash is due to Wendy Nakao

prior to your first play date.

Each golfer is responsible for their

own green fees.

 

SPRING GOLF

 

We will be providing tee times during the

month of April. There will be no Games

of the Day during Spring Golf.

 

FALL GOLF

 

We will be providing tee times during the

months of October and November – until

the snow flies. There will be no Games of

 

the Day during Fall Golf.
